2007 is the first year the Montezuma International Film Festival (MIFF) takes place. The festival jury will present awards to films and videos in the following categories: Drama, Comedy, Documentary, Experimental, Animation, Horror and "Best of Fest".

The Band from the Mexican TV serial Rebelde visits Costa Rica again. Rebelde (RBD) already performed in 2006 in Costa Rica.
