There are several traditional annual events in Costa Rica, the most important ones are: Fiestas Palmares, Fiestas Zapote, Carnival in Limon, Carnival in Puntarenas and the Festival de la Luz.
Besides those there are many smaller happenings and new unique festivals in Costa Rica.
